Into the Fire

First week of being in my unit here in Korea and already thrusted into an exercise. No doubt one of many to occur during my time here in South Korea. After being issued the standard equipment as per the U.S. Army regulations via CIF (Central Issuing Facility), I was also issued this handy tool. Rumor is that it'll be a practice drill in our training. Haven't had one of these since BCT (Basic Combat Training). Either way, I'm just excited to be able to be in another land and part of whatever is going on here in South Korea!

Getting Settled In

After two weeks of quarantine due to the Covid-19 guidelines, I've finally been cleared and assigned to my unit of 2nd Infantry Division. I'm looking forward to working with my NCO's, officers, fellow junior enlisted, and the Katusa's. First time in Asia, and its eye opening.
